Your commitment to help change outcomes for cancer patients is an admirable one, but we know that raising the funds to get there isn’t always easy. Especially when potential donors don’t know about the Journey, The Princess Margaret, or the life-saving cancer research that is supported when funds are raised.

Getting started early and letting people know why you’re embarking on your Journey will go a long way towards hitting your fundraising goals. That’s why we’ve created a few tips and tools to help you out.

Start with a Self-Pledge

Did you know that participants who make a self donation when they register earn donations from their supporters up to 80% faster in their first three weeks? Kickstart your fundraising efforts with a self pledge of $50-$100 and set the bar for how much others should donate.

Share the Stats

Share some eye-opening stats and the impact of donations with your network. Show them exactly what they are investing in: a Journey that will help save more lives across Canada and around the world.

Use the stats and the downloadable document below in emails, on social, or in person to start conversations about fundraising. Remind potential donors that supporting a world leader in cancer care has a significant impact on their local hospitals as well.

It’s another great way to get your network behind your Journey. Plus, the tool is already built into the Facebook platform and easy to use. Click here to get started.

Note: Facebook can take up to six weeks to let us know the total amount fundraised. To ensure your efforts are reflected accurately on your personal fundraising page ASAP, please fill out this form.
